I am thrilled to offer reproductions of two paintings created by artist Joni Lay of Lay Baby Lay!

For about a decade, Joni has been a huge source of inspiration for me. She is a graphic designer, stylist and artist who specializes in making creative spaces that honor the rhythms, values, and joys of her family and I am endlessly delighted by her use of playful design elements, mix of old and new, juxtaposition and out-of-the-box thinking. Thank you, Joni, for allowing me to offer these beautiful paintings!

“Books and reading are a big part of our family culture, and when we were working on our basement space, I wanted some moody portraits of two of our favorite authors who have influenced us greatly, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Situated on moody verde bosque backgrounds and smoking their beloved pipes, these gentlemen work great as a pair or on their own.” – Joni Lay
